Bill Tempany (Chairman, CEO, Audit Committee)
Bill has more than 35 years of senior management experience in hi-tech companies and more than 15 years' experience in the public market. Mr. Tempany has been the CEO of AeroMechanical Services since March 2003. He was founder, President, and CEO of Fintech Services Ltd. (now Sylogist Ltd. TSX.V: SYZ), President and founder of QByte Services Ltd. (now owned by IBM), and a consultant in the international Oil and Gas industry to companies such as Ziff Energy and Petrobras.
Richard Hayden, President
Mr. Hayden, an engineer by training (BS, Norwich University; MS, Purdue University), has led the development and successful transition of new monitoring and diagnostic technologies and products in the aviation field for 25 years. As founder and CEO of Technology Integration Inc., he provided vision and collaborated with end users, OEMs, and industry partners to optimize product capabilities and suitability, as well as building staff and partners who created two innovative products that are now industry standards. Mr. Hayden was with Meggitt (MGGT:L), a U.K.
based supplier of aviation products from 2002 until June 2008. He joined the AMA board in July 2008.
Thomas French, CFO
Mr. French is a Certified General Accountant with 30 years of experience. He has worked in global aviation and is experienced in dealing with a number of multi-national companies. Most recently, Mr. French was the CFO for Eagle Copters Ltd., a privately held aircraft and parts manufacturing, sales, leasing, and heavy overhaul organization.
Michael Fang, Vice President China Operations
Michael is an Avionics Engineer with 15 years of work experience in the Chinese Aerospace Industry. He has worked with both the Chinese Airlines and Chinese government regulator bodies. He holds an MBA from the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary.
Matt Bradley, Vice President Business Development
Matt brings 21 years of experience in Military and Civilian Aviation. He worked with Skyservice Airlines for the last 10 years as a Captain and Check Pilot. With Skyservice, Matt worked extensively in the area of fuel management, implementing a satellite communication and fuel efficiency initiative that saved the airline over 3% of the annual fuel budget.
Jeff Brunner, Senior Director of Operations
Jeff is a professional engineer with over 18 years of experience in the aviation industry. After receiving his Avionics Engineering and Aircraft Maintenance training from SAIT Jeff worked in aircraft maintenance before completing his Mechanical Engineering Degree from the University of Calgary. Jeff has been with AeroMechanical Services for 5-and-a-half years. For the majority of his time here he was in charge of the engineering department where he worked to obtain the company's STC's. He has recently moved into the role of Senior Director of Operations. Mr. Brunner is also a Transport Canada delegate and leads the Design Approval Organization (DAO) for the company.
Kent Jacobs, Technical Director, Advanced Applications
Kent, a professional pilot with a computer science degree was the first employee of AeroMechanical Services. Kent is the founding developer of the afirs system. What started out as a box that fit in a coat closet, the afirs system is now the size of a loaf of bread, is installed on aircraft and is the center of AMA's business. Kent is also the lead developer of the Fuel and FLYHTStream systems.
Steve Harke, Director of Product Development
Stephen Harke has over 28 years experience in the aviation industry, over 21 years of which have involved the design and certification of avionics systems in aircraft. He holds both Transport Canada AME Category M&E and FAA A&P licenses, as well as Transport Canada ministerial delegations, both as a Design Approval Representative (DAR) and as a delegate member of AMA's Design Approval Organization (DAO).
Stephen is familiar with the majority of avionics systems installed in a wide range of civilian aircraft. As the Director of Product Development, Mr. Harke is responsible for the technical aspects of the new AFIRS 228 development program.
Walt Akerley, Technical Director of Airline Systems
Walt is one of the newest members of AeroMechanical Service's team. He brings with him 20 years of aviation system experience. Walt just completed a 787 communications strategy for Boeing and designed and implemented West Jet's data architecture. His experience includes working with airlines such as JetBlue, Airtran and MidWest Express and he has connections with Sabre, IBM, SITA, ARINC, and vendors like Honeywell, Rockwell Collins and others.
